- Confidentiality
and Privacy (2006). Sponsored by eHI and Vanderbilt. 105 attendees.
Addresssed the issues surrounding data sharing agreements at the local
and regional level. Made extensive use of small groups simulating
communities and
responding to events taken from real experience. Output was a personal
plan for each region to accelerate the implementation of data sharing
agreements in their regions. The readings and case studies may be of
interest. Case
studies and initial findings are posted separately.
- Confidentiality
and Privacy (2005). An earlier workshop focusing on core principles
and emphasizing the needs of the State of Tennessee.
- State of Louisiana HHS Health Exchange Project (2005). Addressed the issues the State of Louisiana was facing in implementing its HHS data exchange program. Output was an approach to accelerate planning to ensure completion of the project within the specialized times. Made exensive use of "swim lane" planning.
- Tennessee eHealth Planning (2004). An early effort in the State of Tennessee to identify major issues surrounding eHealth. Funded by AHRQ.
- National
Health Technology Meeting (Spring, 2004). name: health password:
technology. This public site summarizes a two-day meeting of national
efforts that in part led to the development of the Office of the
Network Coordinator at HHS.
- TRUST Workshop (December 2005). The Team for Research in Ubiquitous Secure Technology (TRUST) is devoted to the development of a new science and technology that will radically transform the ability of organizations to design, build, and operate trustworthy information systems for our critical infrastructure.
- Vanderbilt Healthcare Solutions Group (2007). The Health Care Solutions Group, sponsored by Vanderbilt University Medical Center and the Nashville Health Care Council, is a new institute intended to bring health care, business and government leaders together to lead and support improvement in the U.S. health care system. It's 2007 summit focused on state issues and the uninsured.

Johnson Project Health Design. Project HealthDesign supports
technology pioneers to design the next generation of personal health
record systems in ways that empower patients to better manage their
health and health care. With support from RWJ, VCBH is hosting
workshops of the personal health record grantees in an effort to share
experience, accelerate progress, and identify pressing common issues.
